How do I add an email to my account?

If you signed in with an exchange or a wallet, your account may have no email. Adding one lets us send your orders and codes by email, and lets you sign in from any browser. Your existing sign-in keeps working.

01Steps

1. 1Sign in and open Settings.
2. 2Select Profile.
3. 3Under Add your email, type your email address and select Send code.
4. 4Open the email and enter the 6-digit code.
5. 5Select Confirm.

You see "Email confirmed — your account is linked." and a Verified badge next to the email.

02What to expect

• The code works for 10 minutes. You can ask for a new one after 60 seconds with Resend code.
• After 5 wrong codes you need to ask for a new code.
• Once an email is added, you can also add a passkey and set a password with Forgot password? on the log in screen.

03If that did not work

• The email is already used by another KryptoMate account: that address belongs to a different account, and two accounts are never merged. Sign in with that email instead, or select Use a different email.
• "This account already has an email address": the account has an email already. See Can I change the email on my account?
• No code: see I did not get my verification code.
