How do I change my password?

2 min readPublished 5 Oct 2026

Go to Settings, then Security, select Change next to Password, enter your current password and choose a new one.

If you know your current password, you can change it in your account settings.

01Steps

  1. 1Sign in and open Settings.
  2. 2Select Security.
  3. 3Next to Password, select Change.
  4. 4Enter your Current password.
  5. 5Enter a New password, then type it again under Confirm new password.
  6. 6Select Update password.

Important: use at least 8 characters. The log in screen does not accept a password shorter than 8 characters. Choose one you do not use anywhere else. The strength meter shows Weak, Fair, Good or Strong as you type.

02What to expect

You see Password updated and receive a confirmation email. Use the new password the next time you sign in. Other devices that are already signed in stay signed in.

03If that did not work

  • "Old password is incorrect": the current password does not match. If you do not remember it, use Forgot password? on the log in screen instead.
  • "New password cannot be the same as the old password": choose a different one.
  • There is no Password row: your account was created with Google, Apple, Binance or another sign-in button and has no password yet. To create one, sign out and use Forgot password? The account needs an email for this.

04Keep your account safer

If you think someone else knows your password, change it, then select Sign out all under Sign out everywhere on the same page, and turn on two-factor authentication.
