How do I enter the phone number and choose the operator?

2 min readPublished 5 Oct 2026

Choose the number's country first, then type the number without the country code. The site checks the length and detects the operator, which you can change.

Choose the country of the phone number first. The country code then appears in front of the number field, and you type only the rest of the number. The site checks the number's length and detects its operator.

01Enter the number

  1. 1In the top menu, open Mobile. Select Country and choose the country of the number you are topping up, not the country you are in.
  2. 2Under Who are you topping up?, type the number. Do not type the country code again. The field accepts digits only.
  3. 3Read the hint under the field:A count followed by more digits means the number is too short.Too many digits means it is too long. Check that you did not type the country code again.Checking the number… followed by Number looks good means the length is right for that country.

02Choose the operator

  • When the number is complete, the site detects the operator by itself and shows its name with the word detected. The Operator section then reads Detected. Switch if the number was ported.
  • A ported number is one that was moved to another operator and kept. If that applies, select the operator the number is with today.
  • Not detected. Choose one. means you pick the operator from the list yourself. If you are not sure, ask the owner of the number.

Each operator in the list has a short label: Direct recharge, Any amount or fixed, or PIN voucher. With PIN voucher you receive a PIN to enter yourself. See How do I use a top-up voucher or PIN code?.

03Before paying

Read the number back in the Top-up summary, digit by digit. Number looks good only means the length fits the country. It does not confirm who owns the number.

Important: The page reminds you: "Check the number carefully. A top-up sent to the wrong number cannot be reversed." Under our Terms of Service you are responsible for the correct phone number, operator and country, and under our Refund Policy a top-up sent to an incorrect phone number provided by the customer is not refundable.
