A Prize Race is a timed campaign that ranks signed-in customers by their qualifying completed orders. The Deals page shows whether a race is live, with its dates and prize.
A Prize Race is a campaign that runs for a set time. Signed-in customers are ranked by their qualifying orders in that period, and the top customer or customers win the published prize. Races do not run all the time.
01Where to see a race
Open Deals in the site menu. When a race is live, the page shows its end time, its prize and the leaderboard. When no race is live, there is nothing to join until the next one starts.
02How to take part
You do not need to sign up for a race. If you are eligible, your orders count automatically while the race is live.
- You need an account, and you must be signed in when you order. Guest orders do not count.
- Your account must be at least 7 days old when you place the order, unless the campaign page states another age.
- One person may take part with one account only.
03What counts
- An order counts when it is Completed, and only if it was completed while the race is running.
- A campaign can set a minimum amount per order.
- Only purchases of products and services count. Wallet top-ups and Mate Balance Card purchases do not, because that money is counted when you spend it.
- If an order is refunded, its amount is taken off your race total, and your rank can drop.
04The leaderboard
The leaderboard is public. You are shown by your first name and the first three characters of your email, with the rest hidden. Your full email and other details are never shown. The board is updated periodically and can trail recent orders.
05Winning and prizes
- The winner is decided by the ranking at the end of the race plus a short grace period, typically 48 hours, so that orders still being delivered can complete.
- A tie goes to the customer whose qualifying order was placed first.
- A winner may be reviewed for eligibility before the prize is delivered.
- Winners are notified by email once the results are verified. Claim your prize within 30 days of being notified, or it may be lost. You are responsible for any taxes on a prize.
06Fair play
Orders made to manipulate a ranking, such as buying and refunding, using several accounts or reversing payments, are excluded and can lead to disqualification.
07If you think your total is wrong
Contact support through the support widget or at [email protected] within 30 days of the end of the race, with your account email and the order numbers you believe are missing.
