Every game page lists Platform and Region, and shows the countries where the key can or cannot be activated. Check both before paying.
Every game page states the Platform the key is for and the Region it is made for. When a key has country limits, the page also lists the countries. Check all of this before paying.
01Where to look
- 1Open the product page and find the details list.
- 2Platform names where the key is activated, for example Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, Epic Games, Origin / EA app, Ubisoft, GOG.com or Battle.net.
- 3Region names the area the key is made for. Worldwide means the catalogue lists no regional limit.
- 4In the purchase panel, the line Can be activated in repeats the region.
- 5When a key has country limits, the next line says Cannot be activated in or Can only be activated in a number of countries. Select View list to see them.
- 6Read the Activation details tab, when the product has one, for any extra condition.
02How to read it
03Before paying
- Compare the region with the country of your account on the platform.
- For console games, compare it with the country of your PlayStation, Xbox or Nintendo account.
- If you are buying for someone else, check their account's country.
Important: Under our Terms of Service, region locks, platform compatibility and activation requirements are specified on the product page. Our Refund Policy (section 3.2) does not refund purchases of region-locked or platform-incompatible products despite clear warnings on the product page.
04If that did not work
- You already bought a key for the wrong region or platform: see I bought the wrong product or region. Can I get a refund?.
- The region matches but the key is rejected: see My game key is not working or was already used.
