What is a claim link and how do I use it?

A claim link is a secure link that delivers a gift card. Some gift cards arrive this way instead of as a code printed on your order page. It is a normal delivery: the link is your gift card.

01Steps

1. 1Open your order page. Signed in: open Orders in your account and select Get code. Guest: use the link in your order email.
2. 2Find the item. It shows Ready to claim and the message "Your gift card is ready to claim".
3. 3Select Claim your gift card.
4. 4When "Your gift card link is ready" appears, open the link. You can also copy it.
5. 5Follow the instructions on the page that opens to get your gift card.

For some other products the message is "Your code is ready" and the button reads Claim your code. Selecting it shows the code on the order page.

02What to expect

• If the gift card is still being issued, the item says "Preparing your gift card". The page checks again by itself. You can also select Check code.
• Once the link is ready, it stays on your order page. You can come back and open it again.
• Codes and claim links are shown for 90 days after the order. On an older order they are hidden, and support can show them again for a limited time.

03Keep it safe

Under the Refund Policy, a gift card that has been redeemed or partly used cannot be refunded.

04If that did not work

• "Still being prepared. Check again in a minute." The card is not ready yet. Wait a minute, then select Check code.
• "We couldn’t claim this right now. Please try again." Select the button again.
• "Too many requests. Please try again later." The claim button was pressed several times in a short period. Wait 15 minutes and try once.
• The item stays on "Preparing your gift card": see My gift card claim page says Preparing. It also lists what to send support.
