Treat every code like cash, pay only on the payment screen of your own order, and never share passwords, verification codes or seed phrases with anyone.
A gift card code is like cash: whoever has the code can spend it. Crypto payments cannot be reversed either. A few habits keep you safe.
01Protect your codes
- Never send a code, PIN or claim link to someone you do not know, for any reason. A common trick is a stranger asking you to buy a gift card and send a photo of the code.
- Redeem a code yourself, on the brand's own site or app.
- When you ask support about a code, send your order number and a screenshot of the error from the brand's site. Do not type the full code into a chat or an email.
- Under the Refund Policy, a gift card that has been redeemed or used cannot be refunded.
02Protect your payments
- Pay only on the payment screen of your own order, on kryptomate.com or inside the KryptoMate mini-app of an exchange or wallet app. Do not pay to an address that someone sends you in a private message or on social media.
- Check the coin and the network before you send. A confirmed crypto payment cannot be reversed.
- Nobody from KryptoMate will ask you to send crypto to "verify", "unlock" or "upgrade" anything.
03Protect your account
- Use a password you do not use elsewhere, and turn on two-factor authentication or add a passkey.
- Never share your password or verification codes. Never share your crypto wallet seed phrase or private keys with anyone. We will never ask for them.
- Check the address bar: the site is kryptomate.com. A passkey only works on the real site.
04Know who is really us
- Support talks to you in the support chat on the site and by email from [email protected]. These are the only two support channels.
- Our official social pages are the ones linked at the bottom of kryptomate.com. Support is not given there.
- If a message from "KryptoMate" arrives somewhere else and asks for money, codes or passwords, do not reply. Open the support chat on kryptomate.com and ask us.
05If something went wrong
- 1Change your password, then go to Settings, Security and select Sign out all.
- 2Contact support straight away with your order number and what happened.
- 3If you shared a code, try to redeem it yourself as soon as you can.
- 4If you sent crypto to a scammer, also report it to your exchange or wallet provider and to your local authorities. A blockchain transfer cannot be reversed.
