How do I log in with a passkey?

A passkey lets you log in with Face ID, Touch ID, your fingerprint or Windows Hello instead of typing a password. It only works on kryptomate.com, so a fake site cannot use it. You add it once in your settings.

01Before you start

• Your account needs an email address.
• Your device needs a built-in way to confirm it is you, such as Face ID, Touch ID or Windows Hello. If it has none, the passkey option is not shown.

02Add a passkey

1. 1Sign in on the device you want to use and open Settings, then Security.
2. 2Next to Passkeys, select Add passkey.
3. 3Select Create a passkey.
4. 4Confirm with your face, fingerprint or device password when your browser asks.

You see Passkey added. Your face or fingerprint never leaves your device. You can add a passkey on each of your devices, up to 10.

03Log in with a passkey

1. 1Select Sign in, enter your email and select Continue.
2. 2Select Log in with passkey.
3. 3Confirm on your device.

No password and no code is needed.

04Remove a passkey

1. 1Go to Settings, then Security.
2. 2Next to the passkey, select Remove, then Remove passkey.

You then sign in on that device with your password again. You can add the passkey back whenever you like.

05If that did not work

"The request was cancelled or timed out"

nothing changed on your account. Select Try again and confirm when the browser asks.

No Log in with passkey button

no passkey is found for that email on this device. Log in with your password and add one.

"Passkey not recognized"

the passkey was removed or belongs to another account. Log in with your password.

New phone or computer

add a new passkey on the new device.
