Mobile top-up with crypto: send airtime and data to any prepaid number

Mobile top-up5 min readLast checked 10 Oct 2026

Yes, you can top up a prepaid phone with crypto on KryptoMate. Pick the number's country on the top-up page, type the number, choose the operator and an amount, then pay with Bitcoin, USDT or any of 200+ coins. We list 900+ operators in 160+ countries, and you don't need an account: only the phone number for the top-up and an email for your order link.

How to send a mobile top-up with crypto on KryptoMate

  1. Open Top-up and choose the country of the phone number. That's the country the SIM belongs to, not the one you're in right now.
  2. Keep the Mobile tab selected. Some countries also show tabs for Internet, Utilities, Vouchers, Television or Transportation; what's offered varies by country.
  3. Step 1, Number: the country code is already filled in, so type only the rest of the number.
  4. Step 2, Operator: once the number is complete, the operator is usually detected for you. If the number was moved to another network, switch to the operator it uses today.
  5. Step 3, Amount: pick airtime or a data bundle. Each value shows what the number receives and what you pay; data bundles show the data and the validity before you pay.
  6. Read the summary back digit by digit, then add the top-up to your cart and go to checkout.
  7. Enter your email (the order link goes there) and choose how to pay: On-Chain from any wallet, an exchange pay option such as Binance Pay, a Web3 wallet, or your Mate Wallet balance. The methods offered for your order are the ones shown at checkout.
  8. Pay within the countdown. Once the payment confirms, the top-up is sent and your order page changes to Delivered.

Things to know before you top up

Prepaid numbers only

Top-ups add credit or data to prepaid lines. They can't be used to pay a postpaid phone contract. Some operators are marked as PIN vouchers: with those you get a PIN by email and enter it yourself, so nothing lands on the phone until you do.

How fast it arrives

Most top-ups arrive within seconds of the payment confirming; a few providers take a few minutes. In rare cases it can take up to 24 hours. The top-up only starts once your payment is confirmed, so with On-Chain the network confirmation comes first. The screen says this is usually 10–30 minutes, and you can leave the page: we email you once your order is delivered.

Airtime or data

Airtime adds calling credit that the operator turns into calls, texts or bundles. A data bundle adds a set amount of data for a set time. Check what the recipient actually wants, because a data bundle won't add calling credit.

Paying with crypto

Prices are shown in US dollars, and the exact crypto amount is calculated when the payment is created. You have 30 minutes to pay (15 minutes with TON Connect or Tonkeeper). Network or withdrawal fees from your wallet or exchange are yours to cover, so send at least the exact amount shown. Card isn't available for top-ups: the checkout says "Not available for gift cards, games or top-ups". See paying On-Chain and paying with USDT.

Wrong numbers can't be undone

A top-up that's been applied to a number can't be reversed, and a top-up sent to a wrong number you entered isn't refundable. If you spot a mistake, contact support straight away: if it hasn't been sent yet, it may still be possible to stop it. The Refund Policy applies.

Identity checks

Identity verification isn't required for every order. Under our AML & KYC Policy we may ask some customers to verify, for example for unusual activity or high values.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. You only need their phone number and the country it belongs to. That makes it a simple way to send credit to family in another country. The recipient doesn't need an account or a crypto wallet.

Pick a country on the top-up page and send credit with the coin you hold.
