How do I search and book a flight?

You search live fares from 600+ airlines, pick a flight and a fare, enter the travellers' details and pay. The airline confirms the booking after payment, and your e-ticket is sent by email.

01Steps

1. 1Open Travel in the top menu and select Flights.
2. 2Choose the Trip type: One-way, Round trip or Multi-city.
3. 3Fill in Leaving from, Going to and the dates.
4. 4Under Passengers, set Adults and Children (with each child's age) and the Cabin: Economy, Premium economy, Business or First. Tick Direct flights only if you want nonstop flights.
5. 5Select Search flights.
6. 6Narrow the results with Filters: Stops, Price up to, Duration up to, Departure time, Airlines and Checked bag included.
7. 7On a flight, select Select. Choose your fare opens: compare each fare's baggage, change and refund rules, then select Continue.
8. 8On the summary page, check Your flight, then fill in Contact details and each traveller. See What name should I enter for a flight passenger?.
9. 9Optionally add Extras, such as seats and bags where the fare sells them.
10. 10Select Add to cart and check out, then pay.

02What to expect

• Prices include taxes and fees.
• A fare is held for a short time while you fill in the details: the page shows Price held for with a countdown. See Why does my flight fare say it has expired?.
• A flight is ordered on its own. It cannot be in the same cart as other items.
• After payment the order page says it is confirming your booking with the airline. Confirmation typically takes minutes, but it can take up to 24 hours. Then the page shows your Booking reference and e-ticket numbers. See Where is my e-ticket and booking reference?.

03Before you pay

• Read the fare's change and refund rules. They decide what is possible later. See What do flight fare rules, baggage and seats mean?.
• Check passports and visas for your route. Under our Terms of Service, travel documents are your responsibility.
