Some payment methods add a payment fee and others add none. The fee for the method you pick is shown in your order summary before you pay, and the exact crypto amount on the payment screen.

Some payment methods add a payment fee and others add none. The fee for the method you choose is shown in your order summary before you pay. Prices are shown in US dollars, and the exact crypto amount is shown on the payment screen.

01Payment fee

  • When you choose a payment method at checkout, the order summary shows a line named Payment fee with the amount for that method. If the method has no fee, the line says so.
  • The fee is part of the Amount due, so you see the full total before you select Pay.
  • The fee is calculated on the part you pay with that method. The part paid from your Mate Wallet balance has no payment fee.
  • After you pay, your order page lists the fee as Payment fees.
  • Adding funds to your Mate Wallet with crypto has a processing fee. The Add funds screen shows it before you send.

02Network fees

When you send crypto from a wallet or withdraw from an exchange, the network and your exchange can charge their own fees. These are not KryptoMate fees. Under our Terms they are your responsibility and are not included in the prices shown. Add them on top, so that the exact amount arrives.

03Exchange rate

  • Prices and order totals are shown in US dollars.
  • If you pay in crypto, the exact coin amount is calculated when the payment is created. The payment screen shows it, for example under Send exactly, together with the dollar total it stands for. Before that step, the checkout shows an approximate amount.
  • That coin amount belongs to that payment and its payment window. If the window closes and you start a new payment, the amount is calculated again and can differ.
  • Our Terms say that exchange rate changes may lead to price adjustments between placing an order and payment confirmation.

Tip: with a stablecoin such as USDT or USDC, the coin amount stays close to the dollar total.

04Why your wallet or exchange shows a different number

  • Your exchange added its withdrawal fee.
  • Your exchange converted another coin to pay, at its own rate.
  • A payment fee was added for the method you chose. Check the Payment fee line in your order summary.

05Refunds

Under the Refund Policy, crypto refunds are calculated on the US dollar value at the time of the original payment, not on the quantity of crypto sent, and network fees for sending a refund may be deducted. See the Refund Policy.
