How do I use a prepaid Visa or Mastercard reward card?

3 min de lecturePublié le 5 oct. 2026

Open the link from your order, follow the card issuer's page to see the card details, then pay online with them. The issuer sets where the card works.

A prepaid Visa or Mastercard reward card is a virtual card from a card issuer. Your order gives you a link, and for some cards a code to enter on the issuer's page. You open the card on the issuer's page and then pay online with its details. The issuer, not KryptoMate, sets where the card is accepted.

01Before you buy

  • Read the card's country on its product page: Redeemable in followed by a country.
  • Read the Terms tab. It states where the card can be used, how long it is valid, and any limit on how often one person can claim a card.
  • These are reward cards from an issuer. They are not a KryptoMate payment card.

02Open your card

  1. 1Open your order page and select Show details under the card. Read the card's own steps first.
  2. 2Open the link shown for the card on your order page.
  3. 3If the issuer's page asks for a code, copy it from your order page with Copy and paste it.
  4. 4Follow the issuer's page until it shows the card number, expiry date and security code.

The issuer's page and its button names differ between Visa and Mastercard cards. Follow the steps shown for your exact card.

03Use the card

Enter the card number, expiry date and security code at an online checkout that accepts Visa or Mastercard. The card's Terms tab states where it can be used.

04If that did not work

The issuer's page shows an error
try again later. If it continues, take a screenshot and contact support.
The card is on hold, blocked or declined
the issuer controls the card's status. Contact the issuer's support named in the card's steps, and send us a screenshot of what they say.
A merchant declines the card
check the card's Terms tab for where it can be used. Some merchants do not accept prepaid cards.

Important: Under our Refund Policy, a card confirmed to be non-functional, invalid, already redeemed (not by the purchaser) or incorrectly issued is refundable, provided you have not used it. A card that has been redeemed or partially used, a card bought for the wrong region or value by your own selection, and a card where the issuer's terms prevent a refund are not refundable.

If you contact support about one of these cards, send your order number and a screenshot of the issuer's page or the merchant's message. Do not send the full card number, expiry date or security code.
