USDT TRC-20 is the USDT stablecoin issued as a token on the Tron blockchain; TRC-20 is the name of Tron's token standard. You send it to a Tron address, which starts with the letter T, and the network fee is paid in TRX. On KryptoMate you can pay for gift cards, games, eSIMs, top-ups and travel with USDT on Tron (TRC-20) through the On-Chain method, which adds no payment fee of its own.

What TRC-20 means

Tron's developer documentation defines TRC-20 as a set of contract standards for issuing fungible tokens on Tron. USDT is one of those tokens. "USDT TRC-20", "USDT on Tron" and "USDT (TRX network)" all describe the same thing. More terms are explained in the glossary.

What a TRC-20 address looks like

A Tron address in the form wallets show has 34 characters and starts with T. There is no separate "TRC-20 address" or "TRC-20 wallet": one Tron address receives TRX and every TRC-20 token, USDT included. A wallet that supports Tron is all you need.

TRC-20 vs ERC-20

Both are token standards, on different blockchains. USDT exists on each, as separate tokens that can't be sent to each other's addresses.

How to pay with USDT TRC-20 on KryptoMate

  1. Put your product in the cart and open checkout. As a guest you only enter an email address.
  2. On the payment step, find On-Chain, choose On-Chain · 200+ coins and select Pay.
  3. Under Choose a coin and network, type "USDT" in the search box and pick the row whose network reads Tron (TRC-20).
  4. Select Continue to payment. The screen shows the Network, an Address that starts with T, and the amount under Send exactly.
  5. In your wallet or exchange, choose USDT and the Tron network (often labelled TRC20 or TRX). Paste the address with Copy, or scan the QR code.
  6. Send at least the exact amount in one transfer. If your exchange takes its withdrawal fee out of the amount, raise the amount so the full figure arrives.
  7. Send before the 30-minute countdown ends, then select I've sent the payment and wait for the screen to move on.

USDT TRC-20 fees: who charges what

We don't quote fee figures, because they change with the network and with each exchange. What stays the same is who charges.

From your own wallet: bandwidth, energy and TRX

Tron charges for transactions in two resources. Bandwidth covers the size of a transaction, and every transaction uses some. Energy covers the work of running a smart contract, and a USDT transfer is a smart-contract call. You get these resources by staking TRX; each account also has a small free daily bandwidth allowance, but there is no free energy. When your resources don't cover a transfer, the network burns TRX from your balance instead. So keep some TRX in the wallet next to your USDT, or the transfer can fail.

From an exchange: the withdrawal fee

An exchange pays the network itself and charges you a withdrawal fee, usually a flat amount per network. Check it on the withdrawal screen before you confirm, and check whether it's added on top or deducted from what you send.

KryptoMate's side

The On-Chain method adds no payment fee: the order summary shows $0.00 for it. Network and withdrawal fees aren't part of our prices.

How long does a USDT TRC-20 payment take?

After you send, the payment screen shows Payment detected · confirming. On-Chain payments usually confirm within 10–30 minutes, and a busy network can take longer. You don't need to keep the page open: your order continues by itself, and delivery is usually instant, but it might take 0–24 hours in rare cases.

Sent it on the wrong network?

The payment screen warns that other coins or networks can't be recovered. USDT sent on another network doesn't arrive as payment for your order. Don't send again. Contact support with your order number and the transaction hash (TXID); every case is reviewed, but recovery isn't promised. The steps are in what happens if you send the wrong amount, coin or network.

Before you send, check three things: the network in your wallet says Tron or TRC20, the address starts with T, and the amount matches Send exactly.

Frequently asked questions
