USA eSIM with crypto: mobile data for your US trip

eSIM4 min readLast checked 10 Oct 2026

You can buy a USA eSIM on KryptoMate with Bitcoin, USDT and 200+ other coins, or with a card. Choose a plan on the United States eSIM page, pay at checkout, and the QR code arrives by email, usually within minutes. Make sure your phone supports eSIM, is unlocked and works on US networks before you buy.

How to buy a USA eSIM with crypto

  1. Check your phone. Dial *#06#. An EID number means the phone supports eSIM. It also has to be carrier-unlocked. Search your model on the compatible devices page.
  2. Open the United States eSIM page. It lists the current plans and prices.
  3. Pick a type. Standard plans have set data; Unlimited and Calls + text can be chosen where offered.
  4. Choose days and data. Each plan shows data, validity, coverage, networks, activation and whether it's Rechargeable.
  5. Add to cart, go to checkout, and enter your email or sign in.
  6. Pay. On-Chain: choose the coin and network, for example BTC on Bitcoin or USDT on Tron, and send the exact amount within 30 minutes. Exchange pay options, Web3 wallets, your Mate Wallet and cards may also be offered. The methods offered for your order are the ones shown at checkout.
  7. Install before you travel. From your phone, tap the install button on the order page, or scan the QR code from another screen.
  8. Switch on when you land. Turn the eSIM on, make it your mobile data line, and enable data roaming for it if the order page says so.

Things to know before you buy

Check your phone works in the US

Most recent phones sold worldwide work on US networks. Some older models, or models made for a single region, may not support every band a US network uses, which can mean weaker coverage. If you have an older or regional phone, check its specifications before you buy. US-bought phones are often locked to their carrier, so ask for an unlock if you bought yours on a contract.

Coverage across a big country

Coverage is usually strong in cities and along highways. It can thin out or drop in remote areas, mountains, some national parks and on long rural drives. Download offline maps before road trips. The plan's Networks line shows which networks it uses.

5G

5G is only available where the plan lists it. Even then, it depends on your phone and where you are. Many areas still run on 4G/LTE, which handles maps, streaming and video calls without trouble.

Data, calls and validity

Most USA plans are data only and don't give you a US number. If you need minutes and SMS, check the Calls + text filter. Most plans start on first use, when the eSIM first connects to a supported network in the US. Check the Activation line on your plan.

Visiting Canada or Mexico as well

A USA plan covers the countries listed on its plan page. If your trip crosses borders, look at regional or global plans and read the country list before you buy.

Paying by card or crypto

eSIMs and eSIM top-ups can be paid by card (Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay), when every item in the cart allows it. On-Chain adds no payment fee (the order summary shows $0.00 for it). Other methods may add 0% to 1%, shown in the order summary. Network fees charged by your own wallet or exchange aren't included. Prices are in US dollars.

Topping up and refunds

Rechargeable plans can get more data from My eSIMs in your account; top-ups need an account. The Refund Policy applies: an eSIM isn't refundable once activated or once any data is used, or if bought for a phone without eSIM support. A defective QR code, or a plan that can't be activated because of an issue on our end, can be refunded.
