How to buy an eSIM with crypto

eSIM6 min readLast checked 10 Oct 2026

Yes, you can buy a travel eSIM with Bitcoin, USDT or any of 200+ coins on KryptoMate, and eSIMs can also be paid by card. Pick a plan for one country, a region or the whole world, pay at checkout, and the eSIM's QR code is sent to your email, usually within minutes. Check that your phone supports eSIM and is unlocked before you buy.

How to buy an eSIM with crypto on KryptoMate

  1. Check your phone. Dial *#06#. If an EID number appears, the phone supports eSIM. It also has to be carrier-unlocked. You can search your model on the compatible devices page.
  2. Open eSIMs and choose Local (one country), Regional (several countries) or Global. Pick your destination.
  3. Filter by type. Choose Standard, Unlimited or Calls + text. A type the destination doesn't offer is greyed out.
  4. Pick the trip length and data. Each plan shows its data, validity, coverage, networks, activation and whether it's Rechargeable or Not rechargeable.
  5. Add to cart, or open the plan page and continue to checkout.
  6. Enter your email, or sign in. An account is optional, but you need one later if you want to top up the eSIM.
  7. Choose how to pay. On-Chain lets you send from any wallet or exchange: pick the coin, then the network, and send the exact amount shown to the address made for your order. You can also use an exchange pay option (such as Binance Pay or Bybit Pay), a Web3 wallet, your Mate Wallet balance, or a credit or debit card. The methods offered for your order are the ones shown at checkout.
  8. Pay within the window. You have 30 minutes (15 minutes for TON Connect and Tonkeeper). On-Chain payments show "Payment detected · confirming", which usually takes 10–30 minutes. You can leave the page; we email you once your order is delivered.
  9. Install the eSIM. Open the order page or the email and use the install button on your phone, scan the QR code from another screen, or enter the details by hand.
  10. Connect at your destination. Turn the eSIM on, choose it for mobile data, and turn on data roaming for it if the order page tells you to.

Things to know before you buy

Which coins you can use

Bitcoin, USDT, USDC, ETH, TON, SOL, BNB and many more are accepted On-Chain, 200+ coins in total. USDT is offered on several networks, for example Tron (TRC-20), BNB Smart Chain (BEP-20), Solana and TON. The networks offered are listed at checkout. Send only the coin on the network you picked: other coins or networks can't be recovered. See pay with Bitcoin and pay with USDT.

Fees and prices

Prices are shown in US dollars, and the exact crypto amount is set when the payment is created. On-Chain adds no payment fee (the order summary shows $0.00 for it). Other methods may add a fee of 0% to 1%, and any fee is added in your order summary before you pay. Network or withdrawal fees charged by your own wallet or exchange aren't included, so send at least the exact amount.

Card is an option for eSIMs

eSIMs and eSIM top-ups can be paid with a credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay). Card only works when every item in the cart allows it. If you add a gift card, game or mobile top-up to the same cart, the card option switches off for the whole order.

Local, regional or global

A local plan covers one country. A regional plan covers a group of countries, such as Europe. A global plan covers many countries across continents. Every plan page lists the exact countries it works in, and that list is what counts.

Data, calls and validity

Most plans are data only. Where a destination has them, the Calls + text filter shows plans with minutes and SMS. Most plans start on first use, so the days begin when the eSIM first connects to a supported network. Check the Activation line on your plan, because it decides when the days start counting.

Top-ups

A rechargeable eSIM can get more data later from My eSIMs in your account. Top-ups need an account and are added to an eSIM already in it. If you bought as a guest, you can add the eSIM to your account from its order page.

Identity checks

Identity verification isn't required for every order. Under our AML & KYC Policy we may ask some customers to verify, for example for unusual activity or high values.

Refunds

The Refund Policy applies. An eSIM isn't refundable once it's activated or any data is used, or if it was bought for a phone that doesn't support eSIM. A plan that can't be activated because of a technical issue on our end, or a defective QR code, can be refunded. Report problems within 48 hours of delivery.
